OUR STORY

The Origins

It was October 31, 1983, when Felice Morandi took over the Antica Osteria on Via Luigi Risso 71. His “team” was his family from the very beginning: his wife Graziella in the kitchen with him, and their children Viviana and Marco in the dining room.
The restaurant, located just a few steps from the sea, is small and cozy, but those few tables immediately convey the essentials: this is the only way to operate daily, carefully selecting the best the market has to offer and transforming it into solid, traditional cuisine.

The Evolution

As the years went by, Felice, with a watchful eye, mentored his son Marco, and once he was confident that the management of both the dining room and kitchen was in capable hands, he decided to take his well-deserved rest.
In 2005, the “new team” became operational: Marco, supported by his brother-in-law Saverio Gelao, took charge of the dining room, while the kitchen was led by Chef Fabio Fara.
Driven by the desire to offer greater comfort to their customers and staff, Marco envisioned relocating to a larger space. In 2010, the osteria moved to its new location at Corso Valparaiso 136, just a few meters from the old establishment.

The Restaurant Today

In the new location, Shabir Moudassar joined the kitchen team, while Marco Belloni and Tommaso (the founder’s nephew) managed the dining room. Alongside these innovations came another: Felice and Marco began directly overseeing the cultivation of vegetables on the surrounding hills.
And what about Felice? He hasn’t left the scene—his presence remains indispensable in overseeing the meticulous organization of catered events, both on-site and off, for ceremonies and conferences.
